Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Here's a map of how the election went:
In a few states the Electoral College did what their constituents wanted. However, I have a hard time believing that the "voice" of the people was truly heard in most areas.
We are a country founded upon the voice of the majority, the voice of the people. We elect officials who will represent our voice, if that voice, the voice of the majority is not being heard, it's time to take the attitude that we can make a difference and to start stepping up.
I have written letters to my representatives, I urge you to do the same. And if they don't listen to the voice of the majority, it's time to find someone who will.
Not to scare anyone, but don't discount the fact that the person who will listen just might be YOU!
I want a better America. If we don't stand up for our rights, no one will.
